TERMOMIX®
Pressure/vacuum horizontal dryer
The
TERMOMIX® horizontal paddle dryer can be used
in vacuum as well as in pressure applications and was developed for use in heavy
industrial processes. The paddle dryer is applied as mixer, reactor and dryer, where
process steps under vacuum / pressure and with heating / cooling may be performed in
succession or simultaneously. The TERMOMIX® is
a versatile and very strong machine designed for the highest requirements in
functionality,reliability and longevity. |
Cylindrical, horizontal pressure vessel, with bolted or welded dished covers
All surfaces in contact with the product
such as the vessel, covers, agitator and vapour filter are heated, providing
very efficient heat exchange
The agitator is
supported on both sides of the vessel
- The agitator is designed to meet the
requirements of this particular dryer type
to assure good and even mixing action
throughout the dryer volume, also in
reverse operation, to provide good
discharging characteristics and at the
same time reduce friction on the product
to a minimum to prevent local overheating
as well as to prevent directional thrust or
local product compression
- Speed adjustable using frequency
converters with electric drives or control
valves with hydraulic drives
- Sealing of the agitator shaft with double
mechanical seals or stuffing boxes
Mechanical seals: the
mechanical seals are installed on the covers, dry or wet running mechanical seals may be
installed |
Advantages of the mechanical
seals:
- Better final vacuum
- No hazardous leakage or emissions
- No product contamination
- Possibility of sterile operation
- Failure detection system for mechanical
seal
Stuffing boxes with multiple lip seals
for undemanding applications
Solids discharge valve, plug or ball type,
pneumatically operated
CIP and / or steam sterilization available
Vapour filter, equipped with automatic
filter back-cleaning system
Sample valve
Optional choppers
Machine controls manual, or with PLC, PC and DCS
Electric pre-wiring of machine
Design and manufacturing to the requirements
of international organizations such as ASME, TÜV, etc.
Environmentally sound and safe to operate
